Getting there. Now at the phase of "I'm putting too much effort into a design that isn't original enough, I should forget this whole project"

The warp wing ship, now with many more parts! It has all 4 "wings" now, with bits extending from them. There are new greebles, and a hose extending to under the cockpit from the saucer area. The rear service module area has cover panels and some sort of dish on top of it

Little one-day doodle for the longest day of the year. Inspired by some of Destiny's menu graphics Feels like I could make this a lot better with more time to iterate on it, but I told myself it was a one day doodle and I'm sticking to that! #blender3d #houdini #cgi

A sci-fi image of a small cabin/hotel room on a spaceship. Neptune or something like it is visible out the window. There's a few wood accents and some more plastic and metal panels painted to vaguely look like wood. It is simple and probably pretty cheap, but cozy enough.

The doorway. It is simple and sci-fi, but also obviously 3D modeled and your artist doesn't like it very much. This whole project went on a multi-month creative block for awhile because I had no idea what to do with that $&#*ing door

Shader setup!

An updated front view of the ship. The upper "wing" panels are in place now, a number of doodads around the frame have been changed, and the "midbay" area has been detailed a good bit

It's a view of the ship from the back! You can see fittings and a truss at the back of the "saucer", the rear "dance floor" engine panel has cutouts for engine nozzles. They are suspiciously similar to the SSME and OMS locations on the shuttle orbiter

Maybe not doing the best job at doing all parts at a particular detail level before adding more bits, but kinda just sticking things on as I get ideas for them

An updated version of the ship above. There are some new body panels below the cockpit and additional trim around the midbay area. The front saucer area now has an cutout with an electrical arc, and a number of panels on it's surface (you can't see it here but it also has a back now by the cockpit area)

Making good progress on the main unit finally!

The 2000s-style shelf stereo system from the previous post. The gap in the middle is now filled by the CD player/tapedeck/amp unit. It's still missing some buttons, and nothing is textured yet. But it's getting there!

Um...is the SC2 league screen always broken these days? (according to some websites, this MMR is supposed to be about gold-1 or plat-3, which feels more like where I should be?)

Dusted off an old sun model I made in Houdini years ago. Moved it into Blender, tidied up the materials a bit, rendered a card, then attached it to the world sun in Unreal engine! (yes, I have a plan for this, but haven't built the rest. Needed this working first!)

Speaking of Pokemon things, every so often I remember I have this half-finished model of a mecha-Salamence sitting on my hard drive. Sometimes I chip away at it. If I ever finish it, it will be the most insane 3D model I think I've ever built

Ok, a little more Chandelure work. Did the shader/procedural effects for the side candles. Also added a placeholder center flame, will hopefully be replaced by a proper sim'd flame later. Oh, and I need to actually texture this thing properly #blender #b3d #pokemon
