My grandmother had to downsize recently, so the fam were asked to help re-home her things. I took home this gorgeous cheung saam (which she wore when she met Ronald and Nancy Reagan!) 🥰 My goal is to slim down enough to wear it one day to my own book launch (✨manifesting✨) 😍

Today’s bake: shio pan/sogeum ppang (or salt bread). A log of butter gets rolled in an enriched dough and baked, resulting in a rich, fluffy dough with a crisp bottom. For pure indulgence, sandwich a thick slab of butter and anko (red bean paste) inside (how we had it in Japan).

Another bake today: carrot cake loaf with cream cheese frosting. I’m usually against fruit in my carrot cake, but I think some sultanas in this one would’ve been very tasty (contains toasted pecans, as well).

I’ve also been doing some baking for funzies. Here’s a blueberry cake I made yesterday.

All four been on my list for a while!
