It’s hard to accurately describe how bleak this looks in person. There’s usually a lake and mountains over there. Love that my whole state’s on fire
I scanned all my Magic cards into ManaBox over the last few weeks and it got me thinking I should probably track some of my valuable Pokémon cards and my eyes about bugged out of my head when I checked the prices on the cards in my top loader binder.
Great day to remember that Falco Lombardi is a Vietnamese Pheasant and not any sort of falcon.
3. Not really a completed game, but something I’ve been half-heartedly working towards for a long time. Finally finished out the 890 Pokémon Home Pokédex entries I needed to get the Original Color Magearna gift. Magearna’s one of my favorite Mythical Pokémon so this is a particularly exciting one.
The timing on this is wild too because just this morning I found a bunch of sticky notes I was using to figure out and keep track of Animal Well puzzles.
We’re so close to beating the Oilers for the first time ever tonight, which is critical for our chances in the playoffs.
There’s a gag in New Girl where they have to jam a wooden rod into their apartment’s garbage disposal and violently manipulate it to fix the disposal. It’s played for laughs because it’s stupid and chaotic. Turns out with my home’s disposal it’s also not far from the truth.
This thing has been in this store since mid-November and has been “performing maintenance” the entire time. I check it about once a week and the screen has never changed. The Pokémon Company and Kroger have partnered to taunt me specifically.
2. Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection I adored this one. Loved the additional touches of “Monster Hunter” flavor in the battle mechanics and the added focus on caring for monsters and their habitat is another great layer of the gameplay loop. Full review: nintendowire.com/reviews/mons...
I can’t believe I’ve made it this far. Had a few of my hardest moments last Friday and Saturday where I had a strong urge to pull but I was able to recognize them easily and back off. I don’t think I’ve gone this long since I grew my beard back out after quitting a food service job 12 years ago.
This still might have been less frustrating than getting my real glasses this clean
I’ve been playing the Pokémon TCG for almost two years now, slowly getting better. One of my goals was to find a deck that I could perform well with that centered around Flareon, my favorite Pokémon. Proud to say I just took this Flareon list to 3rd place at a League Cup, meeting my goal in my eyes.
