Here I am, almost 70 years ago today. My older sisters and I were at Wisconsin Dells with family and friends. As I recall, I got the Sea Sausage as a birthday present. It was a HUGE hit and I used it until it sprang leaks. Happy birthday to me!
My birthday month & I am reminded that all things must pass & I'm okay with that. I'm settling into elderhood & enjoying myself. A new book comes out in a month, I'm sewing up a storm (& leaving bookmarks in books at the library as a phantom bookmarker), & my health is okay, kinda. Life. Is. Good.
I got some of my embroidery framed and now I'm doing bookmarks. I plan to leave them in books at the library and I'll become the Phantom Bookmarker.
I have used this device for years during commutes. Lots of plot points were solved while driving. I have a backup, too, in case this one croaks.
Starting a gift for a friend that I designed. I hope the 🐿️ comes out as good as the 🦆
I'm sure this was from an estate sale or something like that. I can see the kids saying, "Euw, CDs? Who listens to those anymore? Who's this? Manfred Mann's Earth Band? Poco? Molly Hatchet?" Perhaps not surprisingly, I recognize 99.9% of CDs here, even without their cases.
Ah, memories. The Spousal Unit scored dozens of old CDs. Someone’s collection for $25. A blast from the past for sure.
A few years old but the feeling still remains. Happy day! Me (the youngest) and my sissies.
On your menu (3 bars on mobile, left side on desktop) choose Lists. Press +New, add a name (and avatar & description, optional). When you see someone you want to add, go to their profile and choose the 3 ... next to the Follow button. Choose the list to add them to.
It’s what’s for dinner. Tomato toast because we have So Many Tomatoes (and basil). Toast, a bit of Ranch, toms and sea salt. Food of the gods.
I’m very superstitious about book releases. It ain’t real until I have the cover on my Wall of Books. That’s not all of them. I have another wall waiting for a new series.
Here's where you can find some details about purchasing and other info about the book. It's set in the Boundary Water Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW, folks in MN know what I mean). books2read.com/b/3JYZve
Has anyone noticed this? Go to Google maps and type in "Kremlin Headquarters"
Scared the crap out of me; not the monsters but when Pat Boone had to walk over a narrow little rock bridge over a chasm with the weight of the world over him and that's when I realized, oh, this is what claustrophobia feels like.
I bought it at the local Hallmark store. It’s the Warmies brand. They have all kinds of fruits & veggies. Here he is with his tiara.
I spend most evenings sewing ‘fidget blankets’ for Alzheimer’s patients. I also make unbeaded versions and donate to the local animal shelter. I get to try new stitches, use up yarn and listen to books. Win-win. #crochet
Exhausted after trip to emergency vet. No definitive answer as to why this dude cried for hours nonstop. All tests look ok. Will try new food & hope for the best. Cross those fingers!
I finished sewing it on Christmas Eve and finished ‘framing’ it today. #embroidery #crafts
A benefit of having a deaf cat. It’s easy to sneak up and get pictures. I hope he’s Happy Dreaming on his heating pad.
We’ve always had pets so never put up a tree. This is how we do the holidays.
Every year I do a sewing project for Christmas. Here are some I’ve done. The Advent calendar is this year’s. It’s a nice small project unlike the wall hanging which is 36x24. That one was a lap full, for sure. #crochet #embroidery #crafts
