And here I was thinking I was the only person in North America who couldn’t grow a zucchini in August…
I’m just not sure they appreciate what I picked up for them in Myeongdong.
This one still stings. “Where do you want Penn Station?” Alan Dunn 1963 #urbanplanning #historicpreservation
Delighted to find this gem in a mid century Alan Dunn collection during old home week at the beach. Wondering if I saw this as a kid? Possibly inspired my decision to go to #Wesleyan 😉
You know it is too much rain ☔ in Columbus when the ducks 🦆 take over ALL of Schiller Park (note: this is not supposed to be a pond!). It does not look good for Shakespeare in the Park tomorrow night! 😔
Valentine’s Day moment…I wish for everyone, someone who gazes at you like my sister’s dog gazes at her.
My 1st #caturday contribution…This cutie seems to be occupying my front porch.
This may have gotten a little out of hand #birds (I promise there are some house finches and juncos in there somewhere).
Fabulous lecture tonight @knowltonosu.bsky.social for Prof. Hiba Bou Akar’s lecture in our Baumer series. Great intros from our faculty too!
Snow report: about 1 Coco and maybe 3/4 of a Kasper fell today. Can’t tell the road or sidewalk from Schiller Park across the street but that’s okay. Just bringing the pura vida to central Ohio. 🌴🥶❄️⛄️
Merry Christmas everyone from the coastal #birds of North America! 🌞🌞🌞
Someone in Ohio grew quince and I secured three and they smell divine.
Getting the whole Ohio State CRP team together for photos is a THING. Getting ready! And then getting it done *sort of*
And the older dog (who has seen this movie before) is not bringing better energy to the party.
I went to a conference to talk to colleagues, mentor early career faculty, present research, and check in with the state of the discipline…and this is the reaction back home.😔
Showing up for #NoKings in Columbus, Ohio (German Village and Ohio State Capitol rallies)! Huge turnout and incredible vibes.🥰 People are not just showing up; they are standing together with humor and hope (and some really great costumes). Need to start thinking now about a costume for the next one!
To present this “framework” one can safely assume an administrator is not planning on ever “returning to the faculty.”
The McNay’s sculpture collection and gardens are quite special (particularly as the museum adapts landscaping to the expanding water restrictions in South Central Texas).
The McNay Art Museum in San Antonio is where I learned about contemporary art in historical context. I was so lucky to grow up with this special place down the street! I stopped by last week and cannot recommend it more: If you are ever in San Antonio — visit!
Excellent organizing! P.S. This is what a water bottle “problem” looks like 😬. You’re good!
My apartment building from when I was in grad school. Still standing and looking exactly the same. View from the (very same) coffee/ice cream shop across the street, Sebastian Joe’s. I loved this apartment! 😍
