It is a little strange that the alleged shooter was being Googled in Israel several hours before the event took place. Still not hard evidence of staging, he could have used a VPN and done that himself. But worth investigating. (I've worked for independent media outlets for 20 years, not blinking)

April Fools ended for me in 2009 when Symantec Anti-virus was doing a homepage takeover of Gizmodo, who decided their prank would be "making it seem like Gizmodo got hacked." Symantec didn't see the humor in anti-virus ads sponsoring a hacked site. web.archive.org/web/20090402...

Email dated Dec 9, 2015 from Alan Dershowitz to David Boies titled "re: Possible Statement." The email reads:

We should be aiming at a short simple statement such as:

"The events at issue occurred approximately 15 years ago when I was a teenager. Although I believed then and continued to believe that AD was the person with whom I had sex, recent developments raise the possibility that this may be a case of mistaken identification."

Alternative:

"that it may have been someone else".

"That someone mistakenly told me it was him."

We should be able to come up with a mutually acceptable statement. It would be acceptable if the statement came from you rather than her, if she prefers.

Patel has also come under fire for his handling of the Kirk investigation. NBC News first reported that Patel had dinner at the exclusive New York City restaurant Rao's on the night Kirk was killed.
