After a long day at work, I was watering my front flower bed, & I was surprised to see this ittybitty baby. I believe it is a five-lined skink. You can tell it's a baby, not only because of its size, but because of the bright blue tail, which fades as it matures. The tail looks like it's regrowing.

Looky at what was waiting for me at the USPS Office today... The most recent book by my favorite author & spiritual mentor in NOV, Hoodoo, & Rootwork, Denise Alvarado!! Been waiting months for this to be released & ship out. Very excited!! Mama D's books are written for novice level through expert.

This is the Sacred Datura just a few hours into daylight the day after it opened up to full bloom.

Look at this fat little guy (or gal)!! Adorable!! A narrow mouthed frog according to Google.

Here's the Jimsonweed.

Datura typically blooms biggest at night. They can open up fully in about an hour. Sphinx & Hawk Moths feed on the nectar at night. I wasn't able to get pix or video of the moth tonight, but I did get to witness that. It moved from the Devil's Trumpet to the Jimsonweed (both types are datura).

I got some devil's claw seeds from a friend of mine in AZ last year. I managed to get 1 plant to grow. It's a species of devil's claw that is from the desert vs the midsouth, & I had to mix up the soil & grow it in a pot for it to sprout. It has a couple seed pods still on it, but I got these today!

the other. They had mayflies, cicadas, dragonflies, butterflies, and evidently, at some point, a bird stuck to them, but only a few mosquitoes. There were No bugs inside either one of them. Don't buy unless he wants to waste your money and be cruel to wildlife!

I bought a 2 pack of these Aion Mosquito Lure & Traps & got them hung up on opposite sides of my house a week ago. I took them both down today while I was running home to mow. DON'T BUY OR USE THESE!! They don't work & they are cruel!! They only had 3-4 mosquitoes stuck to 1 of them, none on... 👇🏼

I'm house/cat-sitting for my ma & stepdad for a week. They've got 4 baby Eastern Phoebes in a nest under their carport.

Juvenile black bear spotted up the street from me, just 1 town over. I love that they are repopulating the state of Arkansas, but this was probably a young male searching for new territory.
