Making a proper start on Persephone for October! Starting with the wreath, it's going to be a long process... I tried machining the edges but it looked awful so I'll be hand embroidering them, though that also means it will take FOREVER! #cosplay #cosplayWIP #embroidery #hadesgamecosplay #hadesgame

Embroidered leaves on a yellow background with a few items around the edge of the picture. The leaves are layered with the larger sizes and darker red colours at the bottom, moving to orange and yellow at the top though the left stack is missing the top leaves. There are black line details on each leaf, and the top right piece is held together with plastic clips as part of the edge has been embroidered in black. The edges of the rest of the leaves still show a narrow border of felt which will be covered by the outlining when finished. The leaves are in the style of the wreaths worn by characters in the Hades videogames made by Supergiant Games

If you like timelapses, this is it - used the original just to get the base pose and proportions in place though there's precious little of the original shape left with the changes to face, hair, and outfit. I also used the original as reference for lighting because double light sources 😱 #timelapse

More details - so people often wait til about 12 weeks when they have a scan before sharing the news, but I am currently in Week 10. However, due to the IVF we had a scan at 7 weeks (pictured!), which showed strong heartbeat and all the right structures, putting us at about 97% chance of success now

Can I pose my face well? No. Have I slept enough? Also no. Are the contact lenses comfy after a long day? Not so much. BUT the wig does fit roughly and only needs a little more tweaking to get it to sit right. Also need to pin the mask in place better too. #CosplayWIP #CosplayTest #Hades2 #Hypnos

Ok I guess this is my life now he is falling asleep. My arm is dying...he may be relocated to lap soon... This is 8kg of beast-that-wants-to-live-in-my-skin he's so clingy, but I do love how he purr even if I have to type this one handed whilst holding him (He has been on a diet for 3 years...)

More of the cat covering most of his servant, one of her arms is around him, holding him up with her fingers just visible in the fur on his lower back as he has assumed a more curled up position whilst she is forced to lean as far back as she can in her chair to support him.

I'm trying so hard to get embroidery going and keep working on the cosplay but loafing on my lap wasn't enough for Jetsam he simply had to climb up my chest, put his paws on my shoulder, and flop so I have to lean back and hold him with at least one arm Sir please I have so much to do! #cats

Two embroidered chibi designs of Hypnos from Hades 2. The design is just his head, looking a little sleepy, with his hair flowing to the right. He has a sleep mask with eyes on it over the top of his hair above his forehead. The one on the left is the more recent design and has more grey tones throughout with gold on the wings. The one on the right has more green tones through the hair and the wings are bronze instead of gold. The one on the right has also been cut away from the backing fabric whilst the left is still fully attached to the red shiny fabric it was embroidered onto (and it will be staying there, the one on the right will be repurposed as a patch to apply to something for fun)

Another #CosplayWIP update for #Hypnos #Hades2Hypnos #HadesCosplay #HadesGame Finished 40 hours of styling on the wig, and probably another 5 hours on the eye mask (including making a test piece to check the design and sizing, which I may keep as a spare for people to use for photos at MCM?...)

An eye mask made from pale purple fabric, with an embroidered design that looks like gold eyes with red centres. There is also black thread for the outlining, and red ribbon as the attachment on each side. The background is a table with a yellow mat and some scissors.

The eye mask placed askew on a styled white wig, which is on a polystyrene head stand on a slightly messy table because I still had things out on there like drinks, supplies, and shopping in the background.

More progress on the #Hypnos cosplay - this is around 30 hours of work on the wig, as I've been taking each tiny section and coating it in glue stick on both sides, making sure it's smooth, then pressing in each wave of the curls one by one with a straightener. #Hades2 #HadesGame #CosplayWIP

A cosplay plan. At the bottom are the sprite images of Hypnos from Hades and Hades 2. Above there's a blank image of pyjamas, and beneath they have been coloured red and gold to imitate the robes from the first game, and icons of the bonds forged characters have been added across the outfit interspersed with pomegranates. There wasn't one for Melinoe at the time so "Mel" is written on the left front pocket of the top instead.
