My younger cat's name, Pietro Catsimoff, is partly due to a dick joke. His older brother is named Willy (by his old owner), and my partner was like "Wouldn't it be funny if you name the kitten 'Richard' or 'Peter'?" I fought it, but I was crushing on Quicksilver in the movies so Peter/Pietro it was.
#MovementMonday Jessabelle Thunder issued a challenge where we do mundane things but #MakeItBurlesque to show that fancy costumes and acrobatics aren't necessary for burlesque. The moves I learned were useful while my knee had limited mobility so I did the challenge with some PT exercises.
I've always had trouble distinguishing between "left" and "right" (my brain needs extra time to figure it), and that gave my Eddie/Volt cosplay an extra challenge. But now I think of the sides of my body as my Eddie and Volt sides. Photo by murasaki_fx (on IG). #cosplay #DateEverythingGame
When I was younger, a friend at the time said I couldn't be Wolverine (we are obviously no longer friends). Then 2 years later, X-23 made her debut in X-men Evolution, and I was immediately a fan.

I originally made this to promote the forthcoming recording of D20 Burlesque's Date Everything! show, but it's now my #TransDayOfVisibility post b/c part of Eddie's story is about acceptance and when he assumes you're just there for Volt, I feel similarly about how people presume I'm this cute (1/3)

These past 2 weeks, I lost 2 amazing women in my life: my pole teacher, Jamie, and a burlesque producer I did several virtual shows with, Attica Wilde. Both fostered spaces where I felt like I safely could thrive as a dancer, and both are gone too soon.
This #MovementMonday is in memory of my pole instructor Jamie, who suddenly passed away last week. I don't have many pics or vids of us together, but she got this one of her special #floorwork class. I had to compartmentalize the news and I'm so devastated.

A few years ago in the qualifying contests, they had a little bit more of a breakdown (no numbers but we at least knew where points went). It's DAVE-P now with "progression" added on for people doing new tricks, but the judging is still nebulous.
#MovementMonday I was learning chair dance before pole but didn't keep up with it due to lack of time. So I'm a bit awkward here and the camera angle isn't great, but Crystal Belcher is an awesome teacher. Also happy anniversary to Revolve Pole Studio!
10 years ago, I went to X Games Aspen b/c in his coming out story, Gus Kenworthy said he wanted to see a rainbow flag at the bottom of the course. I'm glad I could make it happen and that the fans around me encouraged me to move up so that one of Gus' family members spotted me. (1/2)
I donated $50 to 2 places. One is the Immigrant Rapid Response Fund, and the other, Safe Haven MN, isn't on the Linktree but is on the Stand with Minnesota site. They're working with people released from Whipple, where witnesses were taken.
#MovementMonday I've been trying to make it to more 4DWN Babes meetups b/c Cortez Skate Shop offers mini lessons at them. It's helped me finally progress a little better with skateboarding. We'll get these kickturns more consistent. #beginnerskater
It would take a few more years to process it, but Barb Wire played a huge role in my developing a love for women and being a fan of strippers (which probably led me down the road of burlesque).
#MovementMonday I recently learned 2 pole moves that I didn't think I was close to getting: sneaky V and holly drop. You can tell since I have the crash mat out, but once I figured out what body parts needed to stay on the pole, I felt better about them. #poledancing
Half-Volt/half-Eddie came from some joking in Jonah Scott's stream. My performer brain said, "That's an idea." With the help of Danny Fox-Trot on the plugs and powerstrips, I pulled off my most ambitious cosplay, and I got to show Jonah and Robbie Daymond at #AnimeFrontier . #DateEverythingGame
