IT glitches and mistakes can clearly have devastating ripple effects: www.nytimes.com/2025/07/10/w...
After almost a week, negative responses to my 7k+ word investigation into DOGE's access at NLRB relies on a statement on there being no "official record" of DOGE's visit. Berulis never alleged DOGE funneled sensitive data to Russia. His disclosure relies on forensic evidence.
Another nugget of particular interest to me: IT teams might get slashed and consolidated and relocated back to DC. Sources say that might leave critical systems untended and at risk of collapse:
Bluesky: I am officially reporting on all things DOGE now, particularly relevant concerns about cybersecurity and data privacy, but also anything else DOGE related. Find me on Signal. I protect my sources.
Life comes at you fast. Our reporting was true at the time, but now, USAID website shows a message that was emailed to the entire agency putting all direct hire personnel on admin leave and giving 30 days for overseas personnel to be moved out.
And, there it is: Acting Secretary Benjamine Huffman is terminating "all current memberships on advisory committees within DHS, effective immediately." Including CISA cybersecurity advisory committee.
Ah, I love personalized PR pitches that are artfully crafted just for me.
In my inbox: Ukraine's Computer Emergency Response Team within SSSCIP, which just got a new director in Brigadier General Oleksandr Potii, coming out with a new simulation training platform based on real cyberattacks during Russia's full-scale invasion. cip.gov.ua/en/news/laun...
