I can't do a full inground garden anymore but this container garden is pretty nice. Starting to get tomatoes, peppers and strawberries. The plants went in late this year because of the weather.

Crescent Pottery Company of Trenton, NJ. The owners were Charles Cook & D.S. Hancock, formed in 1881. They later merged with several other companies to become the Trenton Potteries Company. Your piece was made from 1881 to 1892. Most likely sanitary ware and made before the merger.
I have one cat that is incredibly photogenic. I also have Morty. Morty always looks like he just came from somewhere sketchy and needs a rest.

He just jumped up, made him so comfortable and clearly let me know that I was done for the day. I am now a cat bed.
