Behold my large son and his tiny weird aunt playing together for the first time (usually they exist in the same place without playing)
I adopted a dog in January who had lived in shelters most of his life and had absolutely no idea how to be around people and now he gets mad if I’m too busy to let him sit on my lap on the couch after dinner and it’s the absolute best.
Why was I meeting my friend at her boyfriend’s house in costume? Because teens in the early 2000s used to do dramatic photoshoots in the woods with our extremely shitty point and shoots.
Currently ignoring Love Is Blind Argentina so I can pet my dog and read reactions to a soccer game I am not watching (but obviously I’m rooting for Mexico).
Everybody wish a happy national Gerald day to my precious boy! I didn’t know there was a national Gerald day but if anybody deserves it, it’s Gerald.
Literally went from trying to steal everything off of my desk and bite my arms to this through the power of lofi beats.
I get election notifications from NJ because I still have a NJ phone number and “unchecked development” in this case I’m pretty sure means “the one townhome development on the former Saks lot that has been vacant since the mid 90s.”
Omg absolutely incredible graph of the results of the city’s moda center survey (so far)
I’ve debated whether to share this video because I don’t want anyone to be traumatized. But maybe buried at the bottom of this thread people will have the option of skipping it. It was taken from a TriMet bus stopped across the street & annotated by my husband.
This is my monstera - I think it’s all one plant but it’s more than one vine for sure. He’s just become a very big boy over the last couple of years
My dog met a tiny version of himself at the dog park yesterday. She’s 3 months, recently adopted, and also from Texas. They even had matching harnesses!
My sister sent me this photo a week or so ago and I need to know why this is not a thing in Portland yet.
My friend caught the biggest wasp I’ve ever seen in a plastic cup tonight in a moment of absolute bravery and heroism. (He let it out later when we were all inside)
This is my dog Gerald after he chomped a branch from my blueberry bush. Very pleased with himself.
If I’m under babied how do you explain this large infant who sleeps next to me all morning only to wake up and wrestle with my arm while I’m in a meeting?
My large son went to the dog park and then had some yard time with his tiny weird aunt and uncle today - look at these faces!!!
I need you all to see the incredible toy my husband designed and made for our nephew’s 4th bday. A sensory bottle with his favorite astronaut floating in it, encased in a custom designed 3D printed rocket ship. Oh and it has a light in it too!
At what point do I need to intervene in my dog’s snacking on the leaves/stems of a cabbage plant?
This is a photo of me and my Bubbe. She was a Holocaust survivor and a refugee. When she was alive, her kids offered to take her on trips to other countries - including the city where she was born. She always said no because she was afraid of US her citizenship being stripped.
Extremely good and an official graduate of his adolescent manners class as of last night!
How am I supposed to shower under these circumstances?!? The circumstances:
My husband found my old iPod and charged it and it still works and has all my old music and playlists. He also found an unused pair of wired headphones. ITS 2013 BABYYYYYY!!!
Didn’t want to quote this because this is only tangentially related but I’ve had a hiatal hernia for years now, and there’s nothing they can do apparently because to repair it they would also need to repair the lack of a valve between my stomach and my esophagus. It’s called a fundoplication.
