Inhaling @jesstraynor.bsky.social ‘s New Arcana. And this poem… I have no words. Will return to Magpie (among others) regularly. I used to read tarot in my early 20s and got self conscious about engaging with mystery. This collection feels like an old friend. #amreading
Just really enjoying the world of @deanbrowne.bsky.social ‘s After Party. Confident strokes drawing a very emotionally “true”otherworldliness. #amreading
“…what will the cops smell like this morning…” Tim MacGabhann’s poetry collection from @bansheepress.bsky.social is a rare work that is actually NEEDED badly in times like these. And on the level of the line, really original and fresh.
Profound dignity throughout the poems in “In Her Jaws”, lighting a way through trauma towards persistence & survival. Loving, too, learning about women I hadn’t known of before liked Caroline Herschel and Dora Richter #amreading @rosamundtaylor.bsky.social
“Are you well? Such a useless question.” Binging Anne Tannam this morning and have had two lovely cries already by page 25.

“You smell of codfish and old rain. Homesick, the salt / weeps in the salt-cellars.” I mean … I feel as strongly about this line alone as I do about all of One Art. Give me process every time 💘
“I will be correct or bust.” Last year’s reading project was all of Bishop’s poetry. My favourite was Selected Unpublished section including scans of poems-in-progress. They have wilder edges than their perfect/published siblings & feel more intimate for it. Heart totally broke in half with Keaton.
