adoption day photos of my baby boy. choosing to rescue was one of the best decision i’ve ever made. he is the sweetest baby ever. he’s a big ol’ soon to be four year old now!
#currentlyreading these three beauties! 🌈📚 💙📚 #rfp slow days and exit wounds are much needed rereads and rouge has been nothing but a delightful adventure, definitely something i see myself revisiting often! #booksky
#2 jan 7 - jan 11 Earth Angel, by Madeline Cash a collection of short stories and flash fiction that reads like an autopsy of tumblr, circa 2010. evocative and visceral, lingering on vulgarity. at times it’s absurdist tendencies brought me back to late night kik-fueled high school group chats.
with her solar batteries fully charged, the world is not ready for her plans
jan 9 - jan 11 The Weary Blues, by Langston Hughes such an extraordinary collection. beautiful metaphors make for lush poetry. his depictions of his travels paint vivid pictures that force you to feel beside him on his journeys. a testament to him being a foundational harlem renaissance member.
with the recent anti-contemporary art push, if any one loved me as tenderly as félix gonzalez torres did, i’d know my life would have been enough - like a posthumous exaltation. portrait of ross in l.a. is a piece that haunts my mind, it is a lovers testament to his partner. a monument of love.
