The cat might be interviewing you to see if the library is a suitable work venue - my local library has a guest cat who turns up to sit on the issue desk most days.
Shadow is my companion this morning in the home office, although he was out patrolling the garden earlier when I spoke to @georginagodwin.bsky.social
Yesterday at @aberuni.bsky.social graduation, I discovered that I have taught two generations of the same family - mother and daughter! (Yes, I feel old 😱)
It’s a scorcher ☀️but we are lucky enough to get a cool breeze (that’s why the photos are blurry!)
A visitor from next door. @irmorus.bsky.social do you know where your cat is? 😹
Bliss. The heatwave has broken (for us in west Wales anyway) and there is a cool breeze. Perfect for sitting outside to do some reading on a PhD student’s chapter and admire the lavender.
Warm and sunny with a light breeze. It is peak blooming time for wildflowers. Shadow declined to come along and decided to continue his covert surveillance from the depths of the wildflowers in the front garden.
The highlight of our visit to the #Aberystwyth show today was the sheep, especially the Swiss Valais, with their black faces and their fine, curly wool. 🐑
Shadow settles in to spend the morning napping while I get on with some writing.
It turned out to be a walk in the rain. Shadow was glad he stayed behind, especially since we ran into the neighbour’s brown tabby hunting in the lane.
Our cats stayed behind to nap but the brown tabby who believes he owns the lane was out hunting and ready to be friends. 2/2
Up early this morning to get some writing done and to speak to LBC radio, while listening to the dawn chorus lineup. The Carrion Crow joined in to keep it from being too saccharine sweet. 😹
Poor Ozzy. Shadow recommends stretching out on cool tile floors when it is really hot.
Took advantage of another warm, sunny day to snatch a walk down the lane between meetings. Feels like summer.
