Flowers for the week and a young Stellar's Jay that likes taking a bath on my deck. He was too quick for a good photo - but he is cute with my Jayhawk in the background.

I'm just a bit south of you. Puget Sound is a couple of miles from my house. This was my back yard a couple of nights ago. Our air has cleared and I enjoyed having the windows and slider open in the early evening.

These gerbera daisies are so cheerful and gorgeous. Thanks to my daughter Laura, for bringing and arranging them.

Lovely roses this week and a weekend with my favorite people, my two daughters.

Lilies lovely to look at and lovely to smell.

Lilies, peonies and my grandpup, Winter. I had my second cataract surgery on Thursday, so my wonderful daughters have been taking care of me. Winter is here as well for the mini girls' long weekend. No problems with my eyes, but we always love spending time together.

This is from last week. Sadly, the lilies didn't last, but they were so pretty until they weren't.

They have lasted a week, but soon all the pretty petals will decorate my table and floor.

Peonies are beautiful, not at all shy. They bloom and say to the world "look how stunning I am". And then one day they kind of explode. I'm waiting for the big finale with these beauties.

My daughter brought me these flowers last week. They are prettier every day. And totally unrelated to flowers, May the Fourth Be With You. 💖😁

I always told people I had a big brother, our Cocker Spaniel who was a year older. The first thing my Mom did was hold me down so he could sniff and see what was in the bundle. And when I was being fed, my Dad had to hold the dog, who flopped back in his arms. He was the best, and my only sibling.

April showers brought May flowers early. Well, really, my daughter brought them.

More flowers. We finally had snow - all day. I'm enjoying staying home watching cars go up & down the slushy street, saw that my neighbor's pear tree had fallen over. He took care of it already. And I realized the pilot light on my gas fireplace is out, probably from all the wind we had Wednesday.

Flowers from Laura that remind me spring is coming, unless we have some snow next week. Wouldn't be the first time for snow in March.

Flowers of the week. The last is a screenshot I posted last night on Threads. Seven years ago today, my husband passed away. I will always cherish memories of our 45 years together. He was smart, kind, considerate, funny in a quirky way, loyal, generous with his time and I will always miss him.

I need a break from the news. I've started putting away Christmas decorations and I have flowers - thank you, Laura.

I'm keeping my Christmas decorations up until January 6 (Epiphany), maybe longer. Depends on how motivated I am to reclaim the house. In the meantime, daughter brought me lovely lilies and roses on New Year's Eve.

Younger daughter & her husband came for Christmas Eve. After dinner, daughter & I went to the candlelight service (United Methodist -very welcoming & inclusive). Gifts afterwards. Christmas Day is almost over. Older daughter is sick; I stayed home, had leftovers & watched Call the Midwife Special.

Merry Christmas. I keep wondering what I"ve forgotten. But I think, for once, I'm ready for Christmas Eve with my daughter & son-in-law, the candlelight service at church. Older daughter is sick with some nasty bug so I will see them when they're all healthy.

Flowers of the week. Sunny roses for my office; white and green for my living room with all the Christmas decorations. The tree wasn't finished. Some decorations are still on the table when I took this photo. It's done now; I will add a finished tree photo later.
