My dog responds to normal human speak. I’ve had her 4 months & I’m amazed at how she knows what I’m saying when I give direction, tell her no, or to go find something. She was found a stray, was clearly neglected as she wasn’t spayed and was heartworm +. How does this girl know what I’m saying?!
This girl was picked up as a stray in Texas and spent several months in a shelter before coming to me in Florida in March 2026. This week she went to the beach for the very first time.
I lost my 16.5-yo dog this past Christmas day, and my house no longer felt like a home. I lasted 2.5 months before I brought this baby home, and I just adore her. Go save one!
I would do the same, as I did twice a day to and from work during his first term.
This is our rescue, Freya. She’s been here for 9 weeks and is learning about the pool.
I guess he knows how much fun we had with the photo on the left, showing him with 6’3” Gavin Newsom. So he made sure to wear some thick-soled boots and a hat next time. (I’d also like to know what’s preventing him from falling flat on his face.)
I paid $6.50 for premium near West Palm Beach last night. Not seeing many of these around Florida, though. 🙄
“My mom just took me to a self-serve dog bath. Scrubbed me up good w/anti-itch shampoo, let it sit 10 mins, rinsed, blow dried. When we got home, mom opened the back door & I sneaked past her and jumped straight into a muddy duck pond. And I would do it again!”
Agree 💯. And I’d remind rightists that people like Don Jr thought it funny when a nutjob bashed a US rep’s 80yo husband in the head with a hammer & Sen Mike Lee thought it funny when a nutjob killed these 2 + the dog, orphaning 2 young adults, then shot another Democrat the same night. They laughed.
It’s so heartbreaking and unnecessary. I brought this baby home 3 days ago. Someone dumped her like garbage after not bothering to get her spayed or to give her heartworm meds, 12 damn dollars a month.
My new baby, rescued from the euthanasia list. Today is day 3 at our house. She’s sweet, affectionate, learns quickly, walks well on a leash, and she was thrown away like garbage. Oh well, she’s here now and will have a wonderful life.
I’m sorry for your loss. I lost mine 2 months ago, too, and yesterday I brought this rescue home in her honor.
