This youngster's quite a cutie too 😀

A vibrant turquoise and black male common blue damselfly has landed at the top of a grass seed head, bending it over as it perches on the top. It looks directly at the camera with the big eyes at the sides of its head. Body and wings fade into the distance.

The rather beautifully-shaped buds of crocosmia "Lucifer" starting to form #Sharemondays2026

Tall stems appear from between bright green upright, strappy leaves. Each is starting to form a set of numerous green buds tinged with red on opposite sides of the stem, producing an effect like ears of corn.
