Well the promised storm finally hit us after over 2 weeks of 38° + temperatures. Gale force winds, rain and hail stones. 10 big trees down in the lake, one landing on fisherman's bivvy. Branches and leaves everywhere.
Years ago, friends came to visit with their 12 year old. "She'll wear Dudley out" they said. 10 hours later she went to bed leaving Dudley still wanting to play. He is now 16, nearly blind and deaf but still wanders round with a ball

With the exception of a little paddling pool for the ducks, our 3 acre lake is completely frozen, has been like this for 6 days and to top it off we now don't have water in the house!!
