View of Longs Peak and Meeker in Rocky Mountain National Park, from the window in the outdoor toilet I used on the Gem Lake trail.
The house we rented in Estes has corn hole, foosball, darts, and a beer pong table. So we’re doing a tournament tonight. My daughter got 147 in her first round of darts. 😳😂
Helped at the church donation garden this morning with my Dad since my office was closed today for the holiday. From Dad’s email Wednesday: “we’ve now donated 1,491.5 lbs to feed those in need. [940 lbs last year at this time.] “ And they picked a lot more today. Great way to start my day!
Bean picking. Great to be outside instead of in an office today. He let me take home an onion for my meal prep. They’ve donated about 600 lbs of food already this year. #gardeningwithdad
Really good after a cool 7.3 mile greenway trail walk this morning. Storms last night meant stepping over this tree and walking through some puddles, but after last weeks heat it was lovely and I feel revived.
Someone didn’t want me to fold laundry until I had delivered some love
My other sister teaches at the college in Ottumwa 😬 Tornados sirens, sky got so dark the streetlights came back on 🙏🏻
Pics I took of the sky last night after the first storm. It was magical, the pictures don’t do it justice.
Well, I hope the Tony Awards are going to be streaming, because we can’t watch right now 🫤
This little shit-ass is tearing up my mulch. Anyone use one of these ultrasonic devices? Owls, reflective devices, or ultrasonic? Any advice?
Ran errands. Picked up flowers for the house, got Dad new chairs for his garden (he had one old crappy one) as an early Father’s Day gift (I just dropped them off, will be a surprise next time he goes out), picked up mulch on the way home, all while listening to one of my favorite soundtracks.
Gotta show off my cute husband (on the left) and his best friend down in Bentonville for Rule of Three. This was after a shake out ride.
My favorite Mother’s Day card. From my daughter in 2013. “Sometimes you clean up around the house” “You’re really sarcastic and have a personality”
Anyway, this is my dad. He was the original Anchor Man when I was growing up. I love him.
Early morning beach walk. Cloudy today. Today’s trash haul included two plastic water bottles, various pieces of plastic, eyeglass frames, and a vape pen. 🫤 Happy Earth Day! 🌎 please don’t litter.
