Stop scrolling and post two characters who bring you happiness.

From an early scene in the 1983 Nelvana animated feature Rock & Rule (AKA Ring of Power), Angel (right) suggests to bandmate (and lover) Omar (left) that during their upcoming "talent night" performance their band perform one of her songs as well as one of his.

The characters are both anthropomorphic animals, Omar being rat-like with an elongated snout for a nose and bright red hair, with Angel appearing cat-like with a small red nose and long, blonde hair.

There was a Champions module that offered something like that as an option, I had it as a teen. I'm don't recall if I ran it with some players being the villains, though.

The module "Deathstroke" for Champions 2nd edition, published in the mid-1980s. The cover features five supervillains with various colorful costumes, one of whom is stabbing a globe with a dagger.

Eric and Marko, the two main heroes of the short-lived fantasy action tv 1983 series "Wizards and Warriors" on CBS.

These characters do not appear in Lord of the Rings, although Eric is arguably inspired by Aragorn while Marko seems inspired by Sancho Panza from Man of La Mancha.

Marko's deal was that he had super-strength, like he could overturn a four-wheeled carriage with one hand. Villains would underestimate him at their peril.
