Reminds me of John Bauer's work. He & his family met a tragic & early end. My mom had some cards w/ his work on them that I liked to look at when I was a kid, &, altho not a goblin, here is my fave: a fairy shepherd. He reminds me of an old friend.
Lovely! Squash blossoms? I think they may be edible. Some people stuff them & eat them here. Here's a photo of the American sycamore I planted ~14 years ago. In the foreground are 2 different redbuds. The true native ("wild type," I guess) redbud is tall. The staked tree is a forest pansy redbud.

This is why we think that chrysalis is going to be a pipevine swallowtail. Caught these caterpillars in the act, munching on my white-veined Dutchman's pipevine leaves a few days before.
Found some native Portulaca pilosa, a.k.a. pink purselane, "kiss-me-quick," & "hairy pigweed," growing where my neighbor's house used to be today. So pretty. Reminded me of walking among the dunes at a beach. #BloomScrolling
