More progress on the tapestry of the Egyptian god Set. Since scanning it this morning, I've got the hair done:
Progress on Set: More hair! More shoulder! Delineation of where the sun ends and orange sky begins.....
Vermeer's "Young Woman with a Water Pitcher" at the Met, I stared at it a long time, fully absorbed by its amazing detail:
Set has ears!! (His ears always look like exclamation points!!) New colors that have been worked out: Back ear: 223 & 3726 Eye shadow: 3726
New tapestry project! I return to Egyptian themes, this one a small profile of Set:
The mandala before I took it off the hoop! Just corners and side rows/hemming to go!
What Yuma has, rather ordinary for here. But then we have massive AC units, too. (We'd likely die without them.)

I've made good progress on the purple and green mandala tapestry:
I'm making progress on my mandala tapestry. I'm pleased with the way the cones seem to funnel light. But I made a miscalculation as my first attempt at the lilac light rays is too large. It'll be a while carefully picking that out!
This is adaptation of original mandala, which has more reddish tones. I wanted soothing purples.
Two weeks of nasty bug, one week of pink eye. Still managed slow art progress. This loosely based on a mandala I did in 2003
My Star Trek flag is almost done! I'm finishing up the hemming, and then it will go next to my other Trek related pieces.
Continuing progress on the Sekhmet tapestry! She will have a border (intending 'fade out' on sides, borders at top and bottom.)
Quote with your most detailed art! I don't know if this piece counts as 'detailed', but it sure is big, over 28 inches wide. I'm not likely to attempt another this big:
Small completions, first her ear, then her wig, then the collar, then the shoulder....
