In the interests of boosting my immune system, it's all colours of the food rainbow this week. Today's lunch: freekeh & lentils; carrot hummus; beetroot dip; edamame; tamari-toasted pepitas; cashews.
After 4 days housebound (‘it’s just a cold’ should be banned from the lexicon), I’ve made it 400m for a banh mi 🎉
Our new house is shaped like a doughnut, with a pond in the middle. The view from my sick bed today was quite cool
Double decker dog (or, it is raining hard and we are miserable)
Despite my efforts, This dog keeps eating clivia pods, which are highly toxic, from our garden. I think all clivias are going to have to go 😔

Just made my first ever Lion’s Mane mushroom steak. I could have seared it a bit more but it’s absolutely delicious
We bought this cool water catcher, which lies on the shower floor collecting cold water while it’s heating up, and then stows upright so I don’t trip over it. Collecting enough water to keep the garden happy, too
So, last year the little dog on the right killed my puffer jacket in search of treats. I decided to live without a new one but, having just had my first cold morning walk bayside, I’ve realised this is not an option 🥶
After 20 years, we have a new turntable ♥️. Had to trial it with a classic 😊
