I've decided to get into Soulslikes

A pile of books- all three volumes of Marx's Das Kapital (the Penguin versions), David Harvey's Companion to Capital from Verso Press, and also the autobiography of Mother Jones because I couldn't be bothered to remove it from the pile and also there's probably a joke about theory vs praxis in there lol

I don't think I have my original physical copy anymore, but reading Stephen King's Misery was the first time I saw the craft of being a novelist discussed in detailed terms- it was the first time that I realized that authors were just people, that I could be one too.

I released the first novel of my new socialist sword and sorcery trilogy, The City That Would Eat the World, this year! It's got a mimic-based ecosystem, carnivorous public transit, millions of gods, and a pseudomedieval megastructure arcology spreading uncontrollably across a continent.

So my cat had to go to the vet today, he got a little kidney infection (he's gonna be fine, we caught it early. Just has to take some medicine for a couple weeks.) But, in good news, the vet agrees that he is a very good boy and extremely polite and well-behaved.
