I was Jack Janglebones on t'other site. Retired guitarist. I used to be first-call at TPA Studios when Steve Kent ran it. Played with some people you've heard of. Sometimes more than once. I collect books. Denizen of the Oak Grove, Greater Wülferhampton.
You suddenly get a narrator describing your life and there’s no way to turn it off - everyone can hear it. While shopping, at work, at home, with friends - the voice narrating your every move goes on. Who do you hope is the voice of this narrator?
I wonder if Count Binface and Angine de Poitrine come from contiguous galaxies? I'd pay money to see them on the same bill. It's the collaboration that Clacton has been waiting for,
Unlike some, I maintain friendly relations with my ex - we co-parent our kids, after all. Anyway, last evening, when the kids and I were watching the footie, she trundled off to her aunt’s new book signing. Today she gave me this. Rather nice.
Gods, the Trooping of the Colour is like a scene from Pepys. A century later there's that Canaletto depicting the Lord Mayor's parade on the Thames. Of course, the Canaletto's boats move differently, but not much.
Whisky club tonight at Nick’s. We are tasting these. So we’re all going to get slaughtered.
Debatable that it is the second time. Sir Alec Douglas-Home might have been thrown under a bus in the modern era.
This is on my wish-list. It isn't blue. (McInturff aren't my normal boutique builder of choice, BTW.) I also rather desire a Gibson Johnny A Signature. And a vintage Stromberg.
assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/686274... Unite hasn't filed annual returns for '21, '22, and '23 according to the Governments own CO so I'm unsure of where you're obtaining those figures:
OK, this is the revised foreword. (53K of the novel done so far.)
Just bite the bullet and double stack, but have a decent cataloging system. I know my library. I know where things are unless they are lent out.
My replacement copy of Georges Duby's "The Knight, The Lady, And The Priest" arrived today. I have no idea to whom I lent my original copy. The dustcover inner flap:
And this is the opening two paragraphs of the Graun's article:
Took the kids to McD’s for lunch because of homework emergency requiring a trip back to their mother’s. This starling came to beg for chips. Cool punk haircut.
This is apparently what's trending on BlueSky. It also seems to indicate BlueSky is missing the story right now. Or they're protecting someone in the Epstein Files. So... are they stupid or compromised? Answers on a postcard to the usual address.
The non-contiguous lacunae of the past return to haunt us... apropos of nothing, obvs.
Rather impressive set of articles: www.middleeastmonitor.com/20260105-jef... An excerpt.
She's just realised the brotherhood of psychotic fascist authoritarians will eventually feast upon itself in an autocannibalistic frenzy. As the Pythons said:
I'm thinking of this as the foreword. Sums up my position and, I fear, the book's contents.
Post a book you love from the 80s. No explanation or review, just the cover.
Good Morning, your Holiness. Borrowing and reshaping the Christic's messiah's sermon, may the Oak Grove, in the spirit of ecumenicalism, suggest this reworking for your next homily?
I've been building my library since I was twelve. It has followed me through living in a squat, various flats, houses and a number of different relationships. It is still just shy of five thousand books. Here are some of my Pratchett firsts.
Chaps, those of you who know Good Omens may want to follow these two. Rather expert in averting the coming crisis, and all that, what.
Finally got the HiFi working properly. Currently playing an old Matthew Passion.
