9 articles a day, every day, for 5 years media.amnesty.org.uk/documents/Li...
New ice bucket challenge dropped, might starting hiding a treat at the bottom
Got to admit it’s bleakly impressive that Iran started the year by brutally massacring thousands of their own people and six months on the median headline about the regime is how whilst they’re a pretty rum lot, they’re not as mercurial, untrustworthy or venal as the US
Decided to give Instagram a go again over the last month *sad trombone sound*
Anyway it’s good to see that some of our fellow Commonwealth members have embraced running joke political candidates in ridiculous fancy dress too
If this wasn’t so good I’d almost be annoyed at how good this is. Respect to @andycrysell.bsky.social for doing this, such a good idea, executed perfectly I’d been toying with an idea similar to this, tho not music journalism, and this both resolves all the questions id had about doing it & does
Sitting in a bus shelter to avoid the rain whilst sinking tins, first night of this year’s annual Scottish family holiday done in fine traditional style. Now up to go buy some square sausage.
I’ll admit our relationship has been strained the past few weeks, but looks like i’m Team Sun once more
Just got my copies of the new Curses ‘Next Wave Acid Punx TROIS’ compilation, 7 slabs of vinyl that completes both an incredible series & quite possibly my day to day involvement in the music biz. Not sure I’ll work on any more albums but incredibly happy to go out on this one, & get a shout out too
Went through a phase where thanks to finding about 6 of his albums in a charity shop 30 years ago I became obsessed with Blaster Bates, had various lofty ideas about reissuing them A few bits that have probably not aged particularly well, but on the whole he’s just such an agreeable listen
it's clearly something they've all picked up from some godawful toxic stew of dank substacks, smug unheard articles and X the everything app
Been like this non stop for about 40 minutes now in Bruxelles, only every now and then getting somehow more intense. Never seen anything like it, even in the tropics
Genuinely can’t wait to see how much they’re going to charge for this donkey from shrek looking-ass motherfucker
British farmers, ofc, with their impeccable record of backing parties with strong commitments when it comes to climate change (that is calling it a hoax and vowing to abandon all environmental pledges)
interviewing a band later which should be fun as I imagine we'll be stripped down to our kecks to survive this inferno but so far research includes the Reader's Digest Folklore, Myths & Legends, Moore's From Hell, Iain Sinclair's Lud Heat, Thomas Water's Cursed Britain & the Usborne Book of Ghosts 🤔
oh my god they still make these. and only £8 for 12 too. what a day this is turning out to be
srsly tho, I think my big pitch for Doctor Who would be that at the end of the series you'll know less about the doctor than you did before it began I'd also just casually drop into a pre-release interview that the opening story would be set in the year... 40,000 and let the nerds go to war
me whining about not having enough games to review: wah wah! woe is me. booo!!!! Me getting a succession of Bpost invoices for import duties and exorbitant handling fees: Well this somehow fucking sucks even more. What the fuck.
