Got a text last evening from my eldest son, did I want to run a 10km with him this morning? (He’s a teacher 6 weeks off) went from his home not too early. Nice run good #SWFC chat and a hard hilly route that was in fact 12km ! A good start to today.

A later start today, the heat is not as intense nice cool wind blowing. Did the #Garmin suggestion of a Threshold Session 4 x 6:00 minutes @ 5:05 km pace with 2 minutes recovery @ 7:10 km pace after each. Managed well today felt strong, a few “good mornings” given and received

Another early start, a slow base run this morning, plenty of hills again. Enjoyed today, few people about, said good morning to a horse, he looked friendly. Enjoying this quiet running of the early morning

An early run, feeling tired, did a base run put in a couple of fast Km and 8&9 finished uphill. Cooler this morning. Few people about. Rubber Don looking very low weir near Oughtibridge almost dry across. Not a great run was pleased when it was over.

An early brisk drill session to start the week, much cooler this morning. Several good mornings from the early dog walkers. Two squirrels almost tripped me up, and a cat sat on a gate watching me with total distain

John Evans@johnsnave· Jul 10 very early #run interval session 10 x 200 metres Uphill with 2:30 minutes walk recovery. They were intense but really enjoyed the session, the quiet early morning was lovely before the heat arrived. #runchat saw two early dog walkers both gave out a good morning and a squirrel who didn’t #running

John Evans@johnsnave· Jul 8 Fuck off Garmin! It was a 10 mile run regardless of what you’ve recorded in fact it felt like 20 miles. Rookie error underestimated how hot it was should have taken a gel or two and more water. Jeffing for last four km at 3/1. Really exhausted at the end but enjoyed the run the LoxleyValley is great

A hard working 1 hope run this morning. 30 minutes up hill then 30 minutes back to home. The wind was straight into me all the way up. Few people about. Weather warmer than I expected. It was hard working but enjoyable today. Bench with a view 30 minutes from home

John Evans@johnsnave· Jul 4 #Parkrun At Hillsborough this morning met up with my youngest son and we ran most of it together even managed a bit of #runchat during the #run Admittedly he was #running at an easy pace and I was almost on my limit! I kept with him to the last hill. Good one this morning enjoyed it!

An unpleasant long run, tired slow aching in various parts of the body legs, back, ankle, shoulders and neck. Pushed on and got it done, several “good morning” given and received.

A much better run this morning, cooler weather definitely helps. Did intervals from a Garmin suggestion. 4 x 4mins faster than 5km pace with 4mins recovery at slow pace 10 mins warm up and 10mins cool down. Hard work although enjoyable. Tried to push hard and saw a swan !

An early run again feeling tired and it was a struggle although definitely cooler this morning the humidity is still high. Nice slow 10km out to Dam Flask, very few people about a few “good mornings given and received.

A very early run, was still too hot and exhausting, I don’t do heat well as I get older. Called it a day at just over 9.5km of slow running. Saw 2 foxes, 2 squirrels, 2 cheerful dog walkers and got two “good mornings”. Probably a nap is in order later

John Evans@johnsnave· Jun 22 An early #run before the heat but obviously didn’t take the brain! Pressed run instead of intended Garmin Session. Reset and didn’t press start so lost a km ffs what am I like today😂😂😂 Still it was a good although very hot run. Lots of early dog walkers out #runchat

John Evans@johnsnave· Jun 20 #runchat An unexpected #Parkrun this morning, got an ear infection so was not going to run, woke up early feeling ok, decided to do #Hillsborough park #run, jogged down feeling tight but loosened up and managed a respectable 25 minutes. Felt much better after #running.

An early one this morning, got a physio appointment later. Hard work today was very humid and some rain at the start. Very few people about in the woods.

A steady easy paced 5km up and along the Liffey, early start as heading home today. Good run followed by a big breakfast ready for a travel day.

John Evans@johnsnave· Jun 13 #Parkrun this morning at Fairview Dublin, really lovely group of welcoming people. Not big numbers about 250 or so, good course. Enjoyed our #run to the start from our hotel some interesting sculpture. Running in Dublin is nice and flat, when you are from #Sheffield most other places are!

A sold 10km this morning just got finished before the rain came, ran a repeat of my Monday. Today’s run and was well over a minute faster, felt tired at the start but got into a groove and picked up the pace, finished with tired legs.

John Evans@johnsnave· Jun 5 #runchat
A good #run this morning did a strong interval session 8 x 400 metres I find are hard #running and make me feel good if they go well. Not much conversation with anyone today as tbh I was too knackered giving it my all 😂

John Evans@johnsnave· Jun 3 #run #running #runchat #wetrun
The weather forecast was accurate to the minute this morning, got running and the rain started, fortunately took a light waterproof jacket. Still got soaked 😂 but once you’re wet, you won’t get any wetter! Nice run around Dam Flask not many people about in the rain.

John Evans@johnsnave· Jun 1 #run #running #runchat
Went out mid morning today, much cooler, not as humid, rain expected later but held off while I completed a hilly drill session. Tried to push hard today and managed a further distance and a stronger effort. Felt very tired at the end but recovering ok.

John Evans@johnsnave· May 30 #runchat
A good #run this morning. Certainly hot again today, kept in the woods as much as possible cooler by the river. Ran a 9km first 5 consecutively quicker from half marathon pace to 5km pace last 4km at 5:50 pace, tired towards the end as the heat hit home. Nice run recovery was ok

John Evans@johnsnave· May 28 Long slow #run early this morning, up to Holdworth and home via the #Loxley valley, part of which is shut🤬 . Few people about some #runners and a few animals. Weather cooler and some thunderstorms in the distance when I set out. #run chat

John Evans@johnsnave· May 25 #run #running #runchat
Early drill session, due to hot weather and granddaughter coming to stay for 3 days won’t get another chance until Thursday. Forgot keen how quiet and peaceful very early morning runs are.

John Evans@johnsnave· May 23 Just an steady #Garmin suggestion daily #run this morning. Nothing fast or furious, I find this hot weather is more difficult when #running as I get older. Enjoyed it once I got going. #runchat not many people about today, seemed quiet
