Ah well ...a few of my characters have them. But I think the most visible are on this bounty-hunter lady. She isn't Katranian and has therefore not that strong healing factor. Scars stay on her body.

They are in a forest Riaud tried to get a fire started and Nirrod want to help with his fire magic.

third Page of book 2 of Katran.
Nirrod proceeds with his magic spell while Riaud gets out of the frame as fast as he can. Then the spell ignites into a monstrous big hand made of fire with an eye on the palm. The brothers run for their life.

A much later scene from book 2 of Katran, where Nirrod finally is happy to conjure a real fireball just to get surprised that a fire Kobold appears out of that fireball.
