Pretty much. If they'd just plopped the 3D model in as-is it wouldn't mirror like that, so it's an effect they had to make on purpose. Fighting games are sold on character appeal, and part of that is the poses, so to do an assymetrical character "right", it would basically double the animation work.

I guess a picture from the design sheet can't hurt. Her name is Rosa Valentina. Like I said, clothes are very different. No martial arts uniform, but sporty clothes. If I had to pick out what inspired her, I'd say Tifa, Ryuko Matoi and Spider-Man. It's mostly the hair that gives me Yasmine vibes.

Out of her fingers, some blue threads portrude that whip around behind her. She can use these to fight in all sorts of different ways.

I didn't want to show the actual page since it's not done yet, so I made this quick visual. It's the red part I was concerned about. To reiterate, I think it should work if the first and third box at the bottom, under the red part, is written so that either can begin or close out the sentence.

I know this is "that scene" and you 'should' be angry at him and all that... But he just sounds and looks so sad here that I just feel bad for him. He's just trying his best within his limits with the best intentions and screws up royally. He just wants to be liked... (I know he's an Ai. Shuddup.)

So that Louvre heist and some writers complaining about its unbelievable simplicity gave me this idea. I don't really "do" oneshots, but I like putting them together when I can. Just so I have proof I'm actually doing art and not just blowing hot air (or just pressing keys?)

So, the DC Sonic crossover ended on a tease for more one day... But... Was this supposed to be 6 parts, or is that tease only gonna amount to a single issue some time in the future? I noticed that the dot in the logo moves to match each issue, and there are six dots... An error maybe? Hmmm...

There we go! 17 May is Norway's national day, so I threw this piece together sometime last year before hopping over to Bluesky. iirc, I was inspired by a news story involving immigrants customizing their bunads to reflect their country of origin, so Viola is wearing a mix based on that there.

17th of May celebration. Three characters are dressed in celebratory national costumes. Marthe (the gray haired girl on the left) is dressed in a heavily customized bunad dripping with game and anime references (Pokemon, Zelda, Dragon Ball, Hunter X Hunter, Xenoblade 3 and Sonic among them). So much so that traditionalists would seethe with rage at the very sight of it. She looks excited at Viola's costume. Gaill (blue spiky-haired boy in the center) is wearing a fairly basic suit (I don't care for male bunads, sue me) with a flag ribbon on it. He looks bewildered at Marthe's bunad. Viola (violet haired girl on the right with more controlled hair than usual) is wearing an experimental hispanic hybrid bunad. She is also expressing confusion at Marthe's choice in clothing.

I guess I can post this. She's just playing a "dodgeball esque game", but she's REALLY giving it her all... A little too much... I'm not completely satisfied with it yet, but I loved adding a ludicrous amount of sweat and finding the right shade of red. Exaggeration is VERY fun.

My OC Marthe in gym wear (Gym class at school... PE I guess? We just call it Gym in Norway) sweating up a storm while her skins shade of red is approaching tomato territory. She's looking tired, but otherwise determined to push on with whatever she's doing.

Dunno what stuff she likes to watch, but that arm of hers gave me this idea...

Kit watching DBZ while trying to replicate Android 16's rocket punch with her prostetic arm. It seems to gently move back and forth to test the waters. The arm socket shows signs of malfunctioning...

She succeeds, but at what cost? (The TV hath been smashed by the arm shooting violently out of it's socket.) She cries, but is it joy, or is it for her wallet slimming?

Anyway, I found out that X is the one Xeno game that DOESN'T have a replay theatre, so please have this shot from the Wii U version that still looks utterly stunning. Moreso in motion. Wallpaper worthy shit right here. I started to squee with excitement when I saw this myself.

Competing to see who can hold them up the longest. The girl is visibly tired, shaking and struggling, while the boy doesn't look worse for wear. To their left, another girl with violet hair in a massive pony tail (Viola) stands with her arms folded and is clearly embarrassed by the display in front of her. A sheet listing commission info from me. I offer Lineart for 20$ (+ 10$ for adding a character) Flat colors for 40$ (+ 20$ for for adding a character) and a "Full Treatment" with lighting and filters and so on for 60$ (+ 30$ for adding a character) I have listed things I won't draw, and what I am willing to draw if discussed which includes: NSFW, Furry and Violence. Otherwise I have listed some rules like my "won't's NOT being open to negotiation. I won't do backgrounds that require drawing something on my end. I'm willing to do variations (different faces and effects) but the cost may range from free to a small additional price. I warning that I WILL block rude customers and that I do NOT give second chances. Some practical info: The artwork will be sent to your email after payment confirmation. Got a bingo, but got surprisingly few of these... While I recognize that I have it and that it IS a "bad habit", I will never feel shame for my same face syndrome. As long as the other parts of the character design does its job, I will stick to the facial design I like to draw, that looks good.

So I did a test to see how she’d look in my style… I don’t like it, AND it was a pain to draw. It simply lacks appeal. I’m gonna have to edit the size of stuff like her hair, eyes jacket etc to adapt her properly to my style, cause THIS isn’t it. (You’re welcome to point and laugh.)

I wouldn't consider them "finished" yet. But I am having a lot of fun coming up with monster designs for that bit I made in the comic that heavily references YGO.

A monster made from two roses squished together from opposite ends. The bottom rose makes it look like a dress, and the top looks like a... Rose? It's similar to how a Peacocks feathers fold out the back, except it's around the upper part of the torso of the creature. A human seems to be in there, with an evil looking expression covered in shadow. Their arms are held high in a menacing manner with clawed fingers, as if casting spells.

A jellyfish looking... Thing... With what looks like glasses on... Yeah...

(WIP) I don't 'think' of my characters as particularily crazy or unhinged... But I DO like giving them moments like these.

Comic Work in Progress using 3D models with facial expressions drawn on top of them. Panel 1: A character is laughing to herself as she is face down to a table. Panel 2: The facedown character has jerked backwards and is adressing the question with her face upside down saying "LATER." with a slightly unhinged smile without pupils. 3. I don't count her as a 'main' protagonist, but she kind of IS in the first arc... Viola. Marthe's best friend, who ALSO suffers from a bunch of trauma. She's abrasive and anti-social towards anyone not Marthe, she also hates herself for it. She's an aspiring musician and loves all kinds of metal.

Violet haired woman (the mane is WILD and LONG, reaching below the butt) is making a card house with a disinterested, grumpy demeanor, while another woman (with silver hair and burgundy clothes) is sitting behind her struggling to figure out her next play in an unrelated card game.

2. Continuing with the second protagonist, Marthe. She is very outgoing, silly and energetic, with a fierce competitive streak. After discovering him, she declared herself Gaills rival and aims to beat him at ANY game. So far, she hasn't. She has a goal beyond that, but defeating Gaill comes first.

1. Starting off, we have the first protagonist of my comic, Gaill. He suffers from social anxiety, shyness and a cocktail of other mental trauma from going through school. He has an above average interest in video games and other fairly typical nerd things. Otherwise, a fairly normal guy. For now.
