We often have the 2-person play off, plus a degree of misremembering (on all sides) so this sign is often handy* to avoid double dinners (*depending on whether you are pictured on the sign or not…)

Neither of these tiny darlings nearly flooded the house by turning on the tap in the boot room when the plug was pushed in because it had previously been removed and left of the floor… All their faces said was ‘oh my goodness, look what someone did, they tried to drown us!’

2 very sweet and definitely innocent black kittens, one really is a lot larger than the other but not as much as the picture suggests “small, far away”

1) the food here is great - suggest you come try it. 2) fence?? Surely that’s a (slight sad) *wall* fence /fĕns/ noun A structure serving as an enclosure, a barrier, or a boundary, usually made of posts or stakes joined together by boards, wire, or rails.

Have to admire the ingenuity though. Our estates team put proper effort into this solution

Corrugated plastic sheeting to catch significant leaks from ceiling that is over 70 years past intended life expectancy, draining into indoor gutter and drainpipe into a bucket 👌

Corrugated plastic sheeting attached to batten on dilapidated ceiling by cable ties to divert significant leakage away to edge of corridor. The corridor was built in haste and not designed to last more than a couple of years, yet here we are nearly 80 years later. At least the ingenious solution avoids the regular bed slalom around buckets.

Today one of us evicted a mouse nest (plus 2 mice) from the garage. This might* not be the individual pictured, although moral support was provided and performance commented upon (loudly). The unwelcome tenants will no doubt be back. *it wasn’t

I saw this chap earlier today in the village - clearly had a big night the night before!
