Not too sure why I bought this... just confirming what I've always known, i.e. 90% of New Order remixes are unlistenable, and 10% are better than the original.
I'm by no means an audio snob, but I've downloaded the new Mojave 3 remasters in lossless and now I'm crying.
I asked ChatGPT "What makes this poster spectacularly bad?", and it began its answer with "It’s actually quite impressive in the sense that almost every basic poster-design principle has been ignored at once." So fair play for that at least.
Anyone got any turntable recommendations? Having bought the Mojave 3 boxset I feel like I should finally have one again. Looking for compact, probably Bluetooth capability, maybe £250 max. This has good reviews.
Have to admit it tickles me to think of David Gedge, who I know is partial to a bit of shoegaze, settling down to enjoy the new @simonreynolds.bsky.social book and encountering this on page 2...
