The Ordovician episode of Surviving Earth aired tonight and while only on screen for a few seconds I did recognize my favorite animal to make concept art of: Phacops. While it is one of the most common trilobites ever I had such a blast painting this little guy!
After returning from Lithuania I finally caught up with Surviving Earth today. The Carboniferous was my favorite episode so far and not just because I made concept art for the Arthropleura. Important: I made this BEFORE the head material was published.

It's new geography and climate has resulted in a myriad of new species that people who want to participate can explore, here some of my own submissions I did to start the Phase off.
Since the Oligocene (Phase 2) Lemuria has moved into a subduction zone as part of the Pacific Ring of Fire, because of that a new mountain range has formed. Globally the climate has cooled and has become dryer, but it's not an ice age.

The most common large eurypterid from is Acutiramus, which might have been a largely nocturnal predator of softer prey. Interestingly no vertebrates have been described so far! Size charts by @montanoceratops.bsky.social .
