It's funny that when Past Lives came out, Against the Current was like "we love pop, we always wanted to make pop music" and then 3 years later they put out fever and in 2025 Chrissy put out a solo EP/album (VII/X) that fucking rips.
Dead Pony really locked in with this EP! Easily my favorite release of theirs, and one of my favorites so far this year. Just a tight, solid 6 songs and Anna really showing off her vocals in a way I don't think she has before. It's also the perfect length for my drive home from work lol. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
I literally just listened to Something to Consume again this morning, that album is so damn good lol. Also, almost a full 2000 more listening minutes is wiiiiiiiild, music is so good.
I don't know if I'm good at this or not but I don't think these are too bad! I wish we had more direct control over head shapes though.
What is Mammoth doing here, I haven't listened to them since early December lmao Also actually shocked ANIMOSITY made the list over EVOLVE, 2005, or anything from Poppy.
A good album that good have been great if it was tightened up and reordered a bit. I might die. wants to be the closing track so bad. Ending an album called IGNORE THIS by demanding your full attention is a huge missed opportunity. Still a solid showing though, highly recommend looking into them!

Shaimus' album The Sad Thing Is, We Like It Here has been my favorite album basically since 2009. It's one of less than a handful I would call perfect, but I don't know y'all. I think Error is taking over the top spot. It explodes out of the gate and just never slows down. It is truly unreal.
Naaaaaah dude, Flux deserves its flowers for sure, but Negative Spaces is a work of art. Just a masterpiece from start to finish. It's emotional and varied. Angry, sensitive, and vulnerable. I've never found music more relatable to me than this album. What a journey it takes you on.
Good lord does Flux have the sauce. The title track is probably my favorite Poppy vocal, that chorus just HITS and she sounds so good. It hasn't dethroned Negative Spaces yet, but it sure is trying. Easily her second best album, I wish she'd tap into this grunge/alternative sound more often.
