Portland, Oregon jazz and avant garde | the beauty of the mundane mom of two boys | cat woman | enthusiast I love finding records and listening to them 🖤
One of my favorite random photos of my little guy helping me vacuum “around” the floor pile when getting ready for my family to visit for the holidays. Always a floor pile SIGH lol
I’ve wanted a copy of this forever. Finally found a nice one during the recent staycation tour of local record shops 💙
What do normal people think of this? (stacks of records on the floor) After some consideration, I have decided I do not care, lol
This lovely boy is seven years old now, which we celebrate on the anniversary of his adoption day. He’s been a part of our family for two years now. I can’t imagine life without him. His shyness and fear have gone since I brought him home, which warms my heart. He is the sweetest angel baby 🧡
Chilled out, sitting in the sunshine (and air conditioning) after a lovely day out with my children 😌
One of my top favorites of the new recent finds. That sleeve ! And the music is marvelous 🧡
Was sad because my kids are grown up and I wanted to go do a thing today but not by myself and even though I love my friends we don’t always share the same interests and then I decided to rewatch the Indigo Girls documentary and now I feel right - like everything all along has been completely right
Pancakes and kettle chips (not pictured) are about as patriotic as we’re managing to be nowadays
Well. I have a pile of wonderful new records to dive into, and I’ve moved on from Greg Foat for days .. to more Greg Foat, lol ❤️
Portland, like in any big(ger) city, is filled with unique, vibrant neighborhoods that all have tons of stuff going on. But we do have a “Downtown” and it’s lovely too. I’ve been enjoying it lately from my son’s place. Remember when the news said we’d burned it all down? That was one of many lies.
Now that I’ve found a copy of this (locally, without shipping, etc) I may never play anything again, lol. Currently on repeat 💙

@funkentechno.bsky.social hey David, thought of you last night when we were at the new-ish bar next to our Hollywood Theatre in Portland.. thought you would love this (and they have cherry pie as one of the snacks)
Hooray! the eldest child has decided quality of daily life in Portland far exceeds that of Los Angeles, so he’s moved back and is now living 3 miles away rather than 958. Oh happy day! 🥰
54 🎉 It’s been an another wonderful and amazing year. I felt terrible for a lot of it, but I’m finally getting answers to what might help (and ruled out some truly awful things) and I’ve been feeling better and, dare I say, even fantastic these last few days. Life is good and I’m here for it ✨✨
Well. I had an errand to run, etc, and impulse bought a balloon for myself (because I clearly needed it, lol) but the cats are both terrified of it. So I googled why do cats hate balloons so much and, yeah, it’s a thing. So now the ballon will have to find a new home. Sorry, Taki. We hardly knew ye.
This is what the defective tape looked like (not the one that got twisted). It would stop playing at this point - see photos of “spots”. Could this have caused an issue with my player? Anyone have knowledge about this kind of thing?
