Retired and living in paradise, at least for now.
“The day of glory has arrived. Against us tyranny’s bloody flag is raised.” The Marseillaise Aux armes citoyens
My library is a refuge and a place to learn. These people want to destroy anything decent. Can’t they hear themselves?
There is a graphic novel that tells his story. I don’t know if it’s still in print or if it’s official.
“Put the lime in the coconut and drink ‘em both up. Put the lime in the coconut and call me in the morning.”
The scientific name for this 10 inch long, net casting spider is, “Holy crap!” At first I thought it was a twig dangling from the gutter. Then I remembered this cabin doesn’t have gutters. So it’s just something else I didn’t know I should worry about. 🤓🥸🌴🦋
Sunrise. We are having warmer weather than normal for this time of year. But the beach is always breezy. Especially early in the mornings.
This is the essence of Costa Rica. Seedlings sprouting from seeds inside flowers from which the petals haven’t dropped yet. Life tumbling all over itself. ❤️🌴🦋
This is an entire album of Willie performing American standards. Best morning coffee music ever! 🤓💕
There’s a small anole living in my house who can do that. I treasure him and he sleeps in an ornamental pineapple plant in my window box. (He brought a date home one night. 💕) He always looks a little surprised to find himself running. 😂
Anoles have knees, and therefore can get up on their hind legs and run, in a stride that can only be adequately characterized as “hell for leather.” It’s a treat to watch them.
Rain! The wind was blowing so hard that the coffee being brewed was missing the cup. But it’s lovely and cool and dramatic. 🤓🦋🌴
Waves like these draw surfers from all over the world. So while this is a remote place, we are not isolated.🌴🦋🙏
We’ve had a big swell starting this past weekend. It’s brought lots of visitors. Pura Vida.
Azulejo, Lavender Cortuna, a native shrub much loved by butterflies and hummingbirds. Beautifully scented.
The electric is off today 7am to 1pm. They do this periodically, I think to give the gerbils at the power plant a rest. So I’ve found a breezy, shady spot at the beach to read. Hunger will soon drive me in. 🤓🌴
