ICE funding is up for a vote in the Appropriations Bill that must pass by January 31 to avoid a shutdown. Indivisible & The ACLU are running Call Congress campaigns to stop ICE funding. The U.S. Capitol Switchboard at (202) 224-3121. Here’s what I wrote for my email and call to my Congress People:

400+ civil rights groups and unions are demanding that Congress refuse funds for ICE and rein in their behavior. I agree with my whole being!
Masked federal agents are kidnapping men, women, and children. An experienced agent shot a woman in the face and killed her because he was angry. They are killing and maiming people, including citizens.
They have gone rogue and are carrying assault rifles and pointing people in the face with them. When will they slaughter hundreds of protesters because they are angry.
They are breaking into people's homes without warrants. They are now going door to door. They are shooting flash grenades at people.
They are endangering our
communities and putting lives at risk.

Our leaders must act now and defend us from this lawless violence, including dragging children from their beds in the middle of the night in zip-ties, smashing car windows, and even driving away from an arrest scene with a toddler still in the backseat.
Minneapolis is under siege and the rest of us will be too. The Trump-Vance administration has the audacity to ask Congress for even more money to kidnap and force people into detention centers where they are tortured, sexually assaulted, and receive no medical attention. And members of the administration are heavily invested in the private corporations who run these facilities that cage people. It's despicable and is eroding the soul of our country.
Fighting ICE, revealing the Epstein files, and impeaching the Trump-Vance Administration should take priority over everything else.

Here’s a list of good items to donate to food banks.

1. Everyone donates Mac and Cheese in boxes, but it also needs milk and butter, which are hard to get from food banks.
2. Boxed milk is a treasure. Kids need it for cereal, which they get a lot of.
3. Everyone donates pasta sauce & spaghetti noodles.
4. Canned foods should be pop-top or donate a can opener
5. Oil is a luxury needed for Rice-a-Roni, which they receive in abundance.
6. Spices, salt, and pepper are a real gift.
7. Coffee and tea bags are caring gifts.
8. Sugar and Flour are treats.

9. Fresh produce donated by farmers and grocery stores is essential.
10. Seeds are great in the spring and summer because growing can be easy for some.
11. Rarely is there fresh meat.
12. Tuna and crackers make a good lunch.
13. Hamburger Helper goes nowhere without ground beef.
14. They get lots of peanut butter and jelly, but need sandwich bread.
15. Butter or butter spread is good.
16. Eggs are a commodity!
17. Cake mix and frosting make it possible to create a child's birthdav cake

The Republican Budget Bill cuts Medicare! Section 112204 mandates that Artificial Intelligence tools be used for reducing and recouping ”improper” payments under Medicare. i.e. taking back money from providers. AI is fallible. Requirements of accuracy/accountability are not mandated- see images:
