Super early version of electrical fungus. I still love a lot about how this one looks, like its a thick glass tube full of plasma, but it didn't read well in mixed lighting conditions so we moved on. The sparks that run along the charged pieces were cool as hell so we did keep those
The single most upsetting gym I've ever made. This was to test our "weird gravity" but it is also just the Orb of Saṃsāra
The time we figured out the same thing that drives electricity can also be used to handle structural rigidity. Fungus bits touching solid level geometry provide a fake resource called "structure" to any connected pieces.
Early playable of sprayables and electrical simulation. Yeah, electricity doesn't work like that, but consider: the moment when you flip on a big light switch and the lights turn on one by one with a "thunk" noise, is cool
Early playable of Dalia's tether. This version let you do some cool stunts but was REALLY hard to use in interior environments. The final version pulls you much more decisively in the anchor direction while still punishing careless use.
Early test of volumetric damage. Shortly after we discovered exploder fungus is best when the fruiting bodies are placed close enough to chain react
Early version of the Houdini tool we use to path fungus. The level geometry gets sent over from Unreal, then Houdini comes back with a nice, natural distribution of possible paths for the fungus to follow.
Ambrosia Sky development gore thread Here's the very first time the cleaning tech worked. According to my file naming this was the 8th attempt to get a good result
Y'all should really check out Fiona Jeeva's upcoming talk at GDoC! She's an incredible tech artist and creative partner. Ambrosia Sky's cleaning gameplay quite literally could not exist without her mad science www.gamedevsofcolor.org/sessions
I’m nothing in between, You know you wouldn’t want it any other way-e-ay —
For those who want to avoid this, it's Razer. This is what you have to agree to just to configure the hardware you paid for. www.razer.com/legal/servic...
I don't think the software that changes the colors of the little lights on my mouse needs to "collect personal data" for "purposes of developing, enhancing, training, testing, and maintaining proprietary artificial intelligence systems"
important emails watching me beeline for a pizza coupon and leave
its just a stray collision. i am an adult. my mind is an undisturbed oasis
ah yeah i can totally see why this is a trillion dollar industry now good job
the future doesn't have to suck ass. we can stand around doing air guitar to In Time by Robbie Robb instead
Have you ever had a utility provider do something so absurdly user hostile that you consider dropping them on the spot
Ambrosia Sky is VERIFIED on Steam Deck, including support for Intel XeSS 2! We put a lot of love into performance on this device so you can clean up space fungus anywhere
<slaps roof of video game> this bad boy can spawn so much flaming space fungus
