NEW: Pratt met w/ POTUS at Trump National Golf Club LA to discuss “a 25% FEDERAL film tax credit to bring back Hollywood” and “several other very important topics,” per an update he just posted on Instagram following our reporting.
Padilla & Klobuchar also asked about FACE enforcement & firings, but didn’t get much.
Durbin also asked about the DOJ’s dismissal of prosecutors who brought cases against anti-abortion protesters under the FACE Act. Blanche largely refused to answer in detail. Whitehouse also asked Recent FACE coverage: www.ms.now/news/anti-ab... www.ms.now/news/doj-inv... www.ms.now/news/abortio...
Durbin asked him to elaborate on how the DOJ is considering enforcing Comstock, as he suggested in the hearing, but Blanche refused to do so.
Hawley goes even further, asking if the DOJ will assess whether other federal laws — “including the Travel Act and federal conspiracy statutes” — could be invoked to criminalize the mailing of abortion pills. Blanche says...this ⤵️
In response to Hawley Q’s on Comstock, Blanche seems to suggest we may get a clear-cut answer from the Office of Legal Counsel soon on how, exactly, this admin interprets and will enforce Comstock. During the hearing he committed to reviewing the Biden OLC’s opinion on this issue.
W/r/t Louisiana v. FDA, Blanche tells Blackburn the DOJ “is not defending the Biden Administration FDA’s policy on the merits.” Adds that the DOJ "will forcefully defend any revised policy produced as a result of the FDA’s ongoing review” of mifepristone. Similar q’s from/responses to Tillis.
Pratt also just announced the launch of The War Foundation, a nonprofit registered with the CA Secretary of State on June 24 by his former campaign staffer Briana Bilbray. Here’s what it’s supposedly going to do.
❗NEW Failed LA mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt posts a photo of himself meeting w/ Trump in Oval Office just now. His young son appears there as well. Caption: “I will never stop fighting for my community.”
Prez + CEO Alexis McGill Johnson calls the latest allegations “damning” and Platner’s response “disqualifying” “The best path forward for Maine is for Graham Platner to end his candidacy and give voters the chance to elect someone who reflects their values politically and personally.”
This is also called parentification. (from the NYT opinion latest pronatalism piece) www.nytimes.com/2026/06/29/o...
Sigh. Bluesky censoring an image of a mother and newborn after a c-section. 🙄
PS someone might want to remind him he was the one who said he’d leave LA if he lost 🤔
Meanwhile it’s unclear if Pratt has actually conceded the race. His only public statement since last night’s AP call appears to be this image of a duck in front of a sunset he posted on X less than 2 hours ago. 🤔
🚨 NEW statement from Nithya Raman after the AP projects she will proceed to the runoff: Raman makes a pitch for a "healthier, safer, more affordable, and more joyful” LA, & appeals to affordability concerns. She says she’s “frustrated by the broken status quo” & calls for supporters to join in.
Other baseless conspiracy theories circulating, including from Pratt himself: That homeless people tipped the race in Raman’s favor. (No evidence to support this.) That Raman conceded the race on primary night. (She didn’t.) www.ms.now/news/news-an...
🚨 Trump again weighs in on Pratt in the LA mayoral race on Truth Social just now, baselessly alleging the election is “rigged”
This is how Spencer Pratt is responding to the latest vote drop…
Here’s what the chair of the Hancock County Dems told @sydneycarruth.bsky.social:
VERY interesting tidbit in this poll: Bass + Pratt both ranked as equally unlikable, by majorities of likely voters (57% each). Raman, meanwhile, has much lower rating in that category w/ 35% of voters seeing her as unfavorable.
Well folks Spencer Pratt blocked me for writing this so you should definitely read it
