Freida continues to be an annoyance in the blinds. The sun shines on that side of our apartment building in the afternoon and evening, right into the living room, so this is interfering with television watching.
I made some more rhubarb almond squares, this time to share with my sweetheart.

Five years ago Freida went for a guest starring role on Game of Thrones.
Freida was playing with her catnip pillow, in the midst of the vertical blinds, pushing the slats around and making a general ruckus, both audibly and visually. It's a good thing she's cute.
Back at the u-pick berry field. A bit cooler and overcast so I didn't want to die afterwards.

Last day of my Pride Month reading list 🏳️🌈🎇📚 I am not a horror reader, but I make a few exceptions. The Dead of Summer by @ryanlasala.bsky.social is one. All his books are especially excellent on audio, and I loved this newest one. Just finished it a couple of weeks ago, and there's a sequel!
I did find one (wild) strawberry on my walk. I did not pick it.
I looked at the map. Probably about 250m of lineup? It's great to have it in the city, so many more people can get to it. It's on a multi-use path and near a bus route. But the car traffic must be annoying for the small street it's on.
Tried to go to the strawberry u-pick this morning but the line was huuuuuge (the car lineup was out to Sunset Dr, to give locals an idea). They posted 20 minutes ago that the fields were picked out and they were closing for the day. I went for a walk instead. The Nashwaak was so calm.
Day 29 of my Pride book thread 🏳️🌈🎇📚 Just finished this today! Roan Parrish's The (Most Unusual) Haunting of Edgar Lovejoy brought together a nonbinary haunted house designer and a cat café worker who sees ghosts. The New Orleans setting and family relationships were great supports to the romance.

Day 27 of my Pride book recommendation thread 🏳️🌈🎇📚 Today's book is He's To Die For by Erin Dunn. A rogue murder investigator and his rock star prime suspect find themselves very interested in each other. Both the romance and the mystery are well developed, which is not usually the case.
They needed to cool completely before cutting, so I'm just trying them now.
