Tennessee Gal
@juliebyrd
University of Tennessee fan, chicken herder, lawyer, mother of 3, married to the best husband ever. Dogs are better than cats, and we have both. Lived in Tennessee all my life, but Colorado is my destination.
Food porn. From left, Brazilian cheesecake, chocolate layer cake, carrot cake.
Ive created a monster. I was working from home earlier this week and my dog hung around me all day, bored. Feeling guilty, I ordered $140 of toys, and Hollywood Feed delivered them in hours. Now all she does is bring me toys, insisy8that I play with her all day long.
Seventeen seconds of new chicks we got last week. We all need a little fuzzy in our lives.
The New York Times rated Neyland Stadium (my spiritual home) #6 of the 25 best college football stadiums in the US. Proud for my team!
PNC Park was lovely tonight. The Pittsburgh Pirates played a great game. Ashcraft was retired as starting pitcher in the 7th. Go Bucs!
Also visited the Flight 93 9/11 memorial on Memorial Day. You can't take photos of smiling people here. This photo is from the walking path at the crash site. Way far off in the distance is a large boulder that marks the site of the crash, and the final resting place of the courageous 40 people.
Visited Falling Waters, the Frank Lloyd Wright home 90 minutes from Pittsburgh yesterday. Here's a video.
Today, Pittsburgh's Alihan's Coffee and Breakfast near PNC Park for some great Turkish coffee, a latte and breakfast. From right, French toast with strawberries and hazelnut spread, middle 3 eggs over easy with Turkish sausage and potatoes.
I Pittsburgh to see a game at PNC Park. Eating our way through downtown. Last night, McCormick and Schmick's Seafood & Steaks. Yum!
Clowns have always scared me. These dolls for sale tonight at auction are TERRIFYING!
Today's sourdough baking. Because, when the world goes to hell in a handbasket, no one will need a lawyer, but they will need bread.
Yes, this is true. Even larger luscious tirds are left by this lovely lady, our neighbor's pea hen, on the tops of our cars each night.
Sourdough bread boules I'm preparing. He has risen. And so has the dough.
Hot coffee in my coffee cup from our Alaskan Cruise last year. We are warm and dry. You know it is cold outside when the Maine-coon cat wants to come inside for the night.
Still trying to figure out what the purpose of the sourpus bears was in this rear window. Photo taken while all vehicles parked for long stop light.
This is the brightest, most bubbly and energetic pet I have ever had.
Trying to figure out this business motto on a box of mangoes i bought at Costco. What the heck does "without sacrificing honesty" have to do with a box of mangoes?
After a busy night of deliveries, Santa and Mrs Claus had a hearty breakfast of chocolate chip pancakes and bacon.
Nothing like a college football Saturday night. In Neyland Stadium vs Oklahoma.
Fascinated to learn that my Tesla Model 3, now salvage after a deer strike in June, is now located in Ukraine. I got a notification on my Tesla app Monday that my car had a low tire. Never deleted the app- use it to charge my non Tesla at Tesla superchargers now and again.
A coffee cup i picked up in a thrift store in Boystown, Chicago in April. My favorite coffee cup. I'm still working on a back story for this one, lone cup on a shelf there. I love to give inanimate objects lives and histories for some reason.
Ever heard of Lake Street Dive? We'll, neither had i before I saw them perform tonight. I will never get this 90 minutes back. I did enjoy the opening act, The Dip, was pretty good. I liked that.
