so, a while back, I had this idea and decided to commission my very talented good friend @damppigeon.bsky.social to draw this as small celebration of 1 year of knowing my best friend @violettpanda.bsky.social (which I've never done b4, was a fun experiment :3) love how it turned out so much hehe 💜

Stay is a hard one for me to come back to emotionally, but like Pressurized Love, I think it has some of my best lyricism in it which I'm pretty proud of 💜

Stay

feel so redundant,

fun to replace.

far too dependent,

not hard to ignore,

cold don't stay much longer
can't seem to sate this hunger
trembling, this song's for her
deliver unto me singer

release this pressure

sing a melody unbroken
shackles, hold me down unspoken
winter inside, my life's a token
shivering harmony please awaken

and release this pressure

ruinous dreamer, shattered perfection
pain of the heart, mine own infection
singer of stars, may I ask a question?
if not for my words, what guides your affection?

this is a very important and special poem to me that I wrote a long while back, as it is both inspired by and dedicated to my love @nixiecherry.bsky.social 💜 it's the 2nd poem I wrote in my recent poetry tear, and I'm still proud of it!

1st part of poem written by JuneWanders, it reads as follows:

Reflection and Dove

mired in love,
self-righteous acceptance.
the flight of the dove,
shackled by penance.

her beauty and grace,
torn by the masks,
bury the pain,

"GRIN" it screams!
"YOU MUST KEEP UP THE FARCE"!

the solution was plain,
but with vision obscured,
the mirror reflects,
yet blindness endured.

"awaken graceful one",
voices sung in the fog...

"thine eyes must now see",
"what we see with ours"!

2nd part of poem written by JuneWanders, it reads as follows:

your vision now clear,
the fog was no more,
to the voices you peered,
beasts of sea, sky, and moor.

their smiles, a comfort,
one you'd dared not explore.
yet now look to the mirror,
a reflection? so much more!

through the eyes of the beasts,
you now see your form.
one deserving of love,
which you will adorn.

so wings did beat,
and shackles did break.
for the dove who took flight,
towards her dazzling fate.

so in time you'll adorn,
and with love you'll become,
in time you'll be one,
for which we have sung!
