How the fuck did we get so drab? I long for the colour of the midcentury. The Romulans' main accent colours in Star Trek TOS were hot pink, hot purple and orange for fucks sake. These colour combos are killing me (in a good way).

Theory: Starfleet Academy's interior is based on/inspired by Canadian architect Raymond Moriyama's beautiful design of the Toronto Reference Library. We know SFA was filmed in TO, and it seems to fit-- right down to the brick coloured carpets and rounded 60s/70s era curves.
