We had a sudden heavy rain shower. I went outside to look for the rainbow. Alas, there was none.
Actually, in the distant past, mankind was embroiled in the Great Escargot Wars. The extensive network of slime trail paths remain visible today and are often misidentified as ancient Roman roads.
Speaking as an Aquarius with a Scorpio husband: it’s not hatred, it’s more like an impatient, exasperated disdain.
I’m trying to imagine an upcycle of my disused old aluminum pie crust edger, but can only visualize things that I wouldn’t display in my own yard or patio. I haven’t used it in over 10 years, so it’s now in the donate bag.
I havethings that make me happy displayed on top of my cupboards in my kitchen. Antique chrome oil lamp, a ceramic Oriole planter, a large hand painted metal tray and more. .
Me: when a guest in my home uses a utensil and then places it back into the drawer- unwashed.
My random thrifty find. Remember when glitter was actually made of metal? Probably not. # Shiny #thriftsky
I was cleaning our water barrel nozzle &a tiny lizard dashed over to drink water drips. So, I deliberately made bigger drips. Then another lizard came to drink so I am now obligated to fill these little lizard drinking tubs (fossils) whenever I’m outside because I’ve created a lizard water bar.
It appears that our bedroom had been previously painted RED. Really, Really Red, the Bride of Beetlejuice Red. Even the door and window frames.😆 I’m painting this bit and all walls a lovely, calming Dover White.
I’ve decided that aging is more fun if I place my late afternoon med & supplement in a 140+ year old shot glass.
I legit read this as Lucky Dead Tattoo. I’m rather disappointed that I was wrong.
I needed a wee tiny waste basket but not a boring one. So, I covered it in paisley silk. ☑️
Today I found a perfect lampshade at a thrift store where it happened to be “senior discount day”. The very sincere cashier asked if I was “55 or better”. I replied “Oh, I’m much better”. She laughed and I purchased the exactly what I needed, pristine, slub fabric lampshade for $2. ☑️
I was searching online for small business made, arm length sun block gloves. This advert popped up. I have questions. Was she murdered by the tennis balls or the gloves? Or, do the gloves cause narcolepsy? 🤷🏻♀️
I thrifted this old coiled basket purse & have been nursing it back to health. I’ve rehydrated the plant based body and nourished the once dry leather. I have replaced the lids little leather tab with a nifty coiled snake and tassel because a snake charmers basket purse requires a snake.
I’ve replaced all of soft silicone flowers on my feeders with ridged flowers with a somewhat pliable feeding port center. It’s day 3 and the juvenile delinquents haven’t been able to remove them. 🤞🏽
I legit saw this sign at a little bar and grill and the bartender had a Magic 8 ball that he shook for his life coach answers. Brilliant!
😆yes, yes I did. I am now reminded of what @effinbirds.com so wisely said:
I just picked a few more Star Jasmine blossoms. The scent is hypnotic, deep and full. Jasmine is a Lunar herb, so today’s 50/52% moon is the last chance to pick before the waning moon. Folklore: A Jasmine flower, placed inside a locket or sachet, is said to inspire confidence and inner knowledge.
So I thrifted a box of vintage trims and lace years ago and these gold mesh thingies were in the box. 🤷🏻♀️ sock garters? purse handle hardware? I’ve absolutely no clue.
