YESSSS I sorta kinda nudged my parents a bit while I was visiting (basically I showed them pictures of adoptable kittens near them) and now they have brought home a couple of little voids: I am very stoked because that house needed cats SO much since the last one died more than a year back

Look who I spotted on the ride home today - the Lynda Lane Park fox! Not particularly fussed about humans: it trotted past me, stopped to look at a mom and her kid further off in the grass, then headed for the trees.
I literally hit the brakes and went "holy shit that's a beautiful cow, what *breed* is that" before grabbing my phone for pictures.

Agreed: a bunch of people at my office teamed up a couple of years ago to relocate a family that had decided to nest in our parking lot. We had to catch the parents and put them in plastic bins and then catch all the babies and get them in a bin, and then walk them to the nearest pond.
Large day of climbing and I made some very bad choices the last few days about, um, eating enough meals and packing snacks. Luckily when you're climbing in Quebec, there is such a thing as a casse-croute on the way home. Intense calorie deficit addressed.
