Random rant. Scrolling on youtube and caught a glimpse of the old classic Maya logo on something and it hit me for some reason just how much whimsy was lost when Autodesk took over Alias|Wavefront. Look how the logo changed. Look at the whimsy they killed. Soul vs Soulless.
I find the timing of @actionretro.bsky.social releasing a vid praising Claude code for helping him develop a retro app ironic. The same day Microsoft announces they gutted Id by firing about 50% of the staff including some long time vets. "99% of software is now written by Claude" who needs devs.
