The cat distribution system has been kind. This is one of two nearly identical siblings we brought home yesterday. They are feral, so there hasn't been a lot of contact yet as we earn their trust.

We made a new friend today. This little red-eyed vireo stunned itself when it flew into our front window. Poor thing. But after some rest, it flew back off into the world. It's quite something holding such a small living being in your hands. My heart still hasn't recovered.

A small bird stands on my hands. The bird is just a little bigger than one of the palms of my little lady hands. The bird has a gray head, a cream-colored stripe across its eyes, greenish-yellow feathers on its back, cream feathers on its underside, and blue-ish feet. The bird's eyes are closed, so you can't see that they are a dark red color.
