"Another Misplaced Riddle" So this is Miriam Squirrel by What'sMadderDog, (artfight.net/~WhatsMadder...), who apparently keeps finding poems meant for other abbey champions. With her is my li'l guy Fitz, who is new to my character roster this year. He's there for moral support, and likely a nap.

Back with more Dark Forest comics! I needed a design for Luke because I needed to draw some closure for poor Martin. I could probably write an essay about my feelings on this guy.
I’m still rereading through Legend of Luke, but here’s my take so far on what Luke would look like (with current time Martin for reference.) He’s supposed to be small and stocky, according to description. Also I added the various gray fur, guy’s been through a lot and never stopped mourning.
So it was suggested on tumblr that everyone would be hanging out in the dark forest (afterlife) and definitely had to meet each other. And SOMEone would get nosy about someone ELSE’s past. (It was Gonff. It’s *always* Gonff.)
Time to play everyone’s favorite game: Where’s that shield?! I say with affection how entertained I am by the fact that Martin does NOT use a shield (AND wears his sword across his back) yet it and the hip scabbard appears in Redwall. It *HAD* to have been a gift. That’s my headcanon for that.
I drew this, posted it to tumblr, and now I bring all of you into the feels. I needed to design Rose from the book Martin the Warrior, with of course, Martin as size ref (I always imagined him to be shorter than she was). We stan a small king here.
