I have five books on hold at the library. I had to ask them to get this one and they only got one ebook and only for a year. They emailed me to say I could borrow it and damn if two people didn't get there ahead of me. Our libraries deserve more money.

I was putting hot dog buns on the grocery list last night and even the crappy ones are $3.50 at Walmart. I can make excellent hot dog buns for less than a dollar. So that's what I'll do.
The Alton Brown Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe is as good as he claims. Finally, no flat spready cookies. The extra egg yolk, bread flour and melted butter (browned here) make such a difference. A little crisp, then nothing but chewy. altonbrown.com/recipes/the-...
