Dan, one of my favorite “found” stories is Potholder Boy. I was on my way back from something or other and found this kid selling homemade potholders outside his house, to pay for Harvard. I bought one.
Here is my feline companion, Little Miss Amelia, lying on my neighbor’s side of the deck. She will not lounge on this side.
I think the lawn looks fine. It is green and mowed, and not strewn with dead bodies. It not burning. The birds are building nests. But no, everyone is angry!

A little sparrow (?) built a nest in a light fixture at my place. She studded it with flowers.

I am now living with very old Lady who will no longer deign to try to jump upon things but does wish to be upon things. Little Miss Amelia has developed a sort of Lady Bellow to demand I appear as her Personal Catlift. The Lady is 16 years old.
I covered Robert Mueller’s first public appearance after being named Special Counsel. It was in 2017, at Tabor Academy in Massachusetts. It was his granddaughter’s commencement, long scheduled, and he did not back out. Here’ the program. They were reprinted to reflect Pop-Pop’s new title.
